On 16th of June 2005 Djibouti Customs signed with Dubai Customs International (DCI) a 20 years management agreement Which consists of 2 phases:

1. Port & Free Zones and

2. Airport & Cargo



As part of this agrement DCI launched a custom system named E-mirsal which primarily depends on latest customs operations, finance and human resources IT systems.

The system will assist Djibouti Customs with the facilitation and smooth flow of trade movements in/out the country. It will also accommodate the fast upcoming future of goods transportation and document handling for the countries member of COMESA.

It will be helpful in saving clients and employees’ time, increasing work efficiently and realizing transparency.
